    Columbus Pet Rescue relies on the work of dedicated volunteers to accomplish its mission every day. There are many ways to get involved with our rescue to help animals in need. Please take some time to read about the various volunteer opportunities described below. Complete this form to notify us of your interest and someone will contact you to welcome you as a new volunteer and provide more detailed instructions! 
    Please select the option that best describes how you wish to get involved as a volunteer. You can read more about each option below. If you select "Other", please elaborate on your ideas in the Comment box at the bottom of the form.
    Be a Foster: Depending on the needs of each animal and the availability of permanent homes, it can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks to find a new home for our animals. We rely on volunteers to foster these animals until everyone is ready for adoption. Supplies such as food, cages, and litter are provided by C.P.R.

    Fundraise: Because some of our animals require a good deal of veterinary care and extended foster stays, C.P.R. relies heavily on the funds raised in our community through donations and grant money.

    Nationwide Arena & Crew Stadium Volunteer: We are in constant need of funds to help our animals. One way our group raises money is by working Nationwide Arena and Crew Stadium hockey, soccer, OSU, and concert events. We are in desperate need of people willing to help work these events. You can work as many or as few events as your schedule allows. It is very flexible and only requires attendance to one short training session before getting started! This is a fun way to bring in much needed funds for our animals and make a world of difference! 
    Clean Cages: C.P.R. works with local PetSmarts to help expedite the adoption process. We are in need of volunteers who can regularly clean cages (takes <1 hour). Supplies and training provided by C.P.R.

    Adoption Events: We hold regular adoption events at the PetSmart in Grove City where fosters will bring in their foster animals to meet the animal-loving public! Volunteers are needed to help schedule, set-up/tear down, and coordinate fosters for these events.

    Photography/Online Media: If you have a knack for photography and/or technology, we need you! We are looking for volunteers to help maintain our online media and photograph adoptable animals!

    Take in Barn Cats: Unfortunately, in some cases our rescued cats are not well fit for adoption. As an alternative, local farms provide a great option for these animals to live in a safe and healthy environment. If you have a farm and would be interested in accepting barn cats, this option is for you

Fostering can be a rewarding and beneficial way to help animals on a temporary basis, providing them with a loving, supportive environment as we move them towards adoption. We are always in great need for fosters and are grateful for whatever help you are able to provide. Start the process of becoming a foster today by filling out an application!
